Bangladesh’s export trade has started on July 21, 2019, under the Self Certification system introduced under the GSP scheme in European Union, Norway, Switzerland, and Turkey. In this system, the exporting company itself will be able to give self-declaration of origin of the exported product on their Commercial Document which is known as Statement on Origin. Exporters registered in the REX of the Central Data Base of the European Union will be able to make Self Declaration through the Export Promotion Bureau.
The URL of the European Union for your members to register under the REX exporter in this manner: After completing the REX Form by entering https://customs.ec.europa.eu/rex-pa-ui/, the owner of the organization or the designated representative of the owner is requested to submit the hardcopy of the signed and sealed REX Form to the Export Development Bureau. The exporter is also requested to submit the updated Enrollment Certificate of the Export Development Bureau along with the REX Form to the Export Development Bureau.
How to apply for Registered Exporter System (REX)
You should submit your REX applications electronically through the REX system. You can access the REX system through the EU Trader Portal.
Before you apply for REX, you will need the following:
- A valid Revenue Online Service (ROS) Certificate – please make sure your ROS Certificate is still valid. This ROS certificate will be required to access the REX system or to delegate access to your Representative. Please see Guide to ROS for details on how to register for ROS.
- Be registered for Customs and Excise in ROS.
- Have a valid Economic Operators’ Registration and Identification (EORI) number.
